Caramel Pastillas Sundae

KICKBACK. This is the term I call the money I get from my Dad when I come to visit them in their place. That don't usually happen because I live in my mom's place. Anyway, when there is kickback, I tend to treat my classmates out to lunch or meryenda(snack time).
Yesterday, I treated my friends in the nearest Jolibee Restaurant (which is, duhh.. beside one of the university's gate.). I chose to eat their sweet Caramel Pastillas Sundae.
The Caramel Sundae is composed of three main sweet ingredients: caramel sauce, pastillas cubes, and ofcourse vanilla ice cream. We are all used to eating sundae that are just ice cream and choco fudge but now, Jolibee added a twist to it.
Pastillas is a Filipino pastry that are made through milk powder, condensed milk, and sugar. The powdered milk is then mixed with just the right amount of condensed milk to form a dough. And then the dough is pinched into small pieces and dipped or springkled into or with sugar. The finish product will be the Pastillas itself.
The nice sweet blend of the three ingredients goes just right. A western meal but with the dominant touch of Filipino culture - Jolibee has indeed made a dessert perfect for the country's pride and everyone's tastebuds.
