YEMA. Again, another Filipino delicacy. This is a sweet pastry made out of peanuts. Simply made by grinding the peanuts resulting to the creamy appearance of it(it's because of the oil that the peanut itself acquires) and then mixed with proper amount of condensed milk. Letting it dry, there you have your Yema.
This afternoon, I invited my best friends over at my place for some great time. We bought this very inviting Yema Roll at a Shopwise Grocery near our previous destination. Yeah, inviting. Sometimes, the physicalk presentation of such food really entices me to eat them right away!
And so, this Yema Roll contained REAL YEMA in it. The top had this yema icing that is really a Yema and then it is also topped with some nuts. Mmm... really yummy!
So for those of you having that sweet teeth from within, you should try making your own yema or look for a Filipino delicacy store somewhere and search for Yema Roll. I guarantee delight to everyone!
